The Chinese Book Fair includes 600 professional publishers and more than 400,000 book titles covering a wide range of disciplines.
The book selection platform adopts the dual-ended operation of PC terminal and cell phone app. Just move your fingers, select the books you like. Library will buy them for you!

Notice re the Arrangement of Campus Services During the Mid-Autumn Festival and the National Day Holiday
Dear all,
According to the Notice on Class Schedule Adjustments for Fall-Winter Semester 2023-2024, campus services during the mid-autumn festival and the National Day holiday (Sep. 29th – Oct. 6th) are as follows:
1. Library: Closed from Oct. 1st to 3rd, and will open as usual from Oct. 4th, same as Café. E-resources are still accessible on library website (https://lib.intl.zju.edu.cn/). Email (library@intl.zju.edu.cn).
2. IT services: Operate normally except the IT helpdesk will move to the Campus Service Hub when the Library closed. Service time: 8:30-17:00. Contact number: 87572669. E-mail: itservices@intl.zju.edu.cn
3. Campus Service Hub: Operate normally except the administrative agency. Service time: 8:30-17:00. Contact number: 87572114.
4. Shuttle bus service: The buses which depart from Haining at 8:00 and depart from Hangzhou at 16:30 will run on Sep.29th. The bus which departs from Hangzhou at 19:30 will run on Oct.6th. Please refer to the campus operation center website (https://coc.intl.zju.edu.cn) or the WeChat account (International Campus Operation Center) for details.
5. Dining service: During Sep.29 – Oct.5, Chinese food(2F) operate normally. Western restaurant(1F) opens from 11:00 to 19:00. Northwest delicacies(2F) and local delicacies(2F) are closed. And will resume normal operations on Oct. 6.
6. Delivery service: Operate normally. Service time: 8:30-18:30. Self-service time: 18:30-8:30 (the next day).
7. Sports venues: Operate normally except the swimming pool is closed from Oct. 1st to 3rd. Operating hours: 9:00-21:00. For swimming pool is 13:30-21:00.
8. Hospital: Service time:8:00-17:00. 24h emergency number: 87572120.
9. Supermarket: Cheerzone education supermarket operates normally except the opening hours are 7:00-22:00 from Sep. 29th to Oct. 1st.

Chinese and Western Competitive Sports Serial Events
Sports is a complex, social and cultural phenomenon in human history. It is created, enriched and developed as an organic part of human social life, and shows distinct characteristics of the times and regions in different historical stages and human value orientations.
On the arrival of the 19th Hangzhou Asian Games, the library organized a series of events. We selected six representative sports from the Asian Games events, and combined their historical development with text and historical pictures; moreover, some sports-related books were exhibited and excerpts were read aloud to show the charm of sports; here is also VR sports experience activities including soccer, tennis, badminton, table tennis, archery, inviting you to do sports together!

A Rewarding and Enjoyable Adventure for Freshmen”—— A Series of Library Orientation Activities in 2023 were Carried Out Successfully
To help new students quickly understand and familiarize themselves with the library, a series of welcome events for freshmen in the year of 2023 were organized by the library from August 26 to September 22.
As the new students arrived, a welcome table was set up with library guides, bookmarks, and drifted bottles from graduates.

Being with All Things—— Reading Activities Successfully Held
Everything in your eyes seems always flowing silently. But have you ever wondered, if a tree, a blade of grass, or even a speck of dust on this planet could speak, what would it tell us?
To talk about these questions, the library hosted some reading activities on September 16th. The event was divided into two sessions.
Session One: A Book Club of The Overstory
Collaborated with the Student Reading Society, the library held a book club in the morning on The Overstory, a socially significant environmental-themed book that delves into the relationship between humans and nature.
JSTOR (co-built with CASHL)
Founded in August 1995, JSTOR (Journal Storage) is a non-profit organization that digitizes back issues of journals. At present, JSTOR is a full library of representative academic journals in more than ten fields, focusing on the themes of humanities and social disciplines such as political, science, economics, philosophy, history, and general scientific subjects as well, providing full PDF text from the first issue to the latest three to five years ago. Some back issues date back as far as 1665.
