JoVE Press is the publishing house that publishes the most experimental videos in the field of life science. JoVE Press founded JoVE: Journal of Visualized Experiments in 2006, which is committed to showing the research process and achievements in biology, medicine, chemistry, physics and other disciplines by video. JoVE Press combines academic publishing with video production. The content of the JoVE video journals is 100% peer-reviewed. The videos and articles included in the journals have been reviewed by editors, animal protection consultants and peer reviewers, and indexed by PubMed/MEDLINE, Scopus, ChemAbstracts and SciFinder. Experimental videos are sourced from Harvard, MIT, Stanford, Yale and the University of California, Berkeley Berkeley, Columbia and other world-renowned universities and academic research institutions.

As of March 2018, JoVE Video Experimental Journal has published 13 subject albums, with a total of nearly 11,000 + experimental videos and more than 11,000 articles, covering the fields of biology, medicine, physics, chemistry, environmental science and other fields, among which the experimental videos in the field of life science are widely concerned by researchers and scholars. The JOVE experiment videos came from scientific research institutions in more than 10 countries and regions, including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany and Australia.

JoVE biology album involves the cytology, molecular biology and organism biology, the video content contains new applications of standard technologies and innovative research methods, involving technologies in physical biology, cell biology, chemistry, genetics, developmental biology, physiology, systems biology, eukaryotic model system and the original nuclear model system, etc. The research fields involved include: Cell signaling pathways and Cell communication; Bioinformatics; Gene sequencing; Cellular and molecular imaging; Cellular and genetic Therapeutics; In vivo and In vitro models of disease; Protein interactions and kinetics; Metabolism; Models of aging; Embryology and tissue development.

JoVE bioengineering album combines natural science with life science, applying natural science research methods and tools to life science research to promote the discovery of new technologies for disease assessment, diagnosis and clinical treatment. The research areas involved include: Tissue Engineering; Biosensors; Bio-imaging techniques and equipment; Cell morphology; Therapeutic materials; High throughput analysis; Microfluidics; Synthetic substrates and materials for bio-applications; Robotic therapeutics.
