[Off-campus visits] The following two ways are available:

2. Remote Access:
(1) register an account on the home page of the database, and the email suffix for registration should include zju.edu.cn. Then click "Remote Access" at the bottom of the home page and activate the Remote Access of the account step by step according to the instructions;
(2) For registered accounts, click "Remote Access" at the bottom of the home page and activate the Remote access rights step by step according to the instructions;
(3) After activation, the user can continue to use it for 180 days outside the campus. Before the expiration of the validity period, the user can log in the school network account once and the validity period can be extended to 180 days. After the expiration, the user can be reactivated.
(4) The activated account can also access the subscribed Embase, Engineering Village, Reaxys, SciVal and Scopus off-campus;

Elsevier ScienceDirect Database (SD, formerly known as Elsevier Science) is one of the world famous full-text scientific literature databases produced by Elsevier Publishing Group in the Netherlands. Resources on the ScienceDirect platform are divided into four major subject areas: Natural Sciences and Engineering, Life Sciences, Medical/health Sciences, Social Sciences and Humanities. Including chemical engineering, chemistry, computer science, earth and planetary science, engineering, energy, materials science, mathematics, science and astronomy, agriculture and biology, biochemistry, genetics and molecular biology, environmental science, immunology and microscopic study, neuroscience, and oral medicine, nursing and health, pharmacology, toxicology and pharmacology, veterinary science, arts and humanities, business, management and accounting, decision sciences, economics, econometrics and finance, psychology, social sciences, etc. In a simple and intuitive interface, researchers can browse the full text of more than 14 million articles in more than 2,500 peer-reviewed journals, dating back to 1823.
In addition to periodicals, the library has ordered series and e-books.
