International IP Protection in the New Tech Revolution

Against the backdrop of deepening international cooperation and competition, the ability to understand and effectively apply international IP rules has become increasingly important for innovative actors. This lecture will provide a concise overview of the principal rules and practices of international IP protection, with particular emphasis on examining frontier developments in light of the new wave of technological revolution. Speaker Bio Dr. WANG Yukai is an Assistant Professor at the Shanghai International College of Intellectual Property, Tongji University. He holds a Ph.D. in Intellectual Property Law from Renmin University of China and a Ph.D. in Law, Science and Technology from the University of Bologna under the EU Erasmus Mundus Program. He currently serves as the Secretary-General of the Research Center for Sino-European Innovation Policy and Law at Tongji University. Dr. Wang was a visiting scholar at the Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition and a researcher at the Centre for Information, Law and Philosophy at the University of Bologna. He has published extensively in journals such as Intellectual Property and leads multiple research projects, including a National Social Science Fund Youth Project.
