To create the reading atmosphere and to inspire the younger generation by the spirit of “Seeking Truth and Pursuing Innovation “, the serial activities of university of Edinburgh alumni's works exhibition were held on Intl-campus Library, Zhejiang University from Dec.14 to Dec.27. THE POSTER OF THE SERIAL ACTIVTIES In this reading promotion, both original works and Chinese edition of ten formers of the University of Edinburgh are selected from the library collection, displaying at an exhibition under three themes, including “Political and Economic Giants”, “Academic Glory” and “Chinese Elites”. In addition to the exhibition, documentaries and chapters of works of ten formers were selected to enhance the reading promotion in a deeper manner. THE EXHIBITION Teachers and students showed their interest and participated in the activities. This activity has benefited ZJUers a lot as they are inspired and encouraged by the scientific spirit by the formers, especially Kaijia Cheng and Xinbei Shu, who are both the alumni of the University of Edinbrugh and Zhejiang University. It carried out the spirit of seeking truth of Zhejiang University while they also feeling the spirit of “Front Wave”. A STUDENT READING AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF BENJAMIN FRANKLIN ONE STUDENT RECITING THE SELECTED CHAPTERS DOCUMENTARIES OF THE FORMERS In these serial activities, the reading atmosphere was well created, and spirit of “Seeking Truth and Pursuing Innovation “was advertised. This is an attempt of reading promotion; hopefully, the students can finally get into a habit of reading. The warm winter sun came into the campus, accompanied by the rustle of the first snow and the sound of reading. The symphonic music of the sound reading allows us to draw back the curtain of history and reunion the works of the great masters of the University of Edinburgh. This online reading activity ended successfully in Dec.27. The library launched two weeks of online reading activities with the subject of University of Edinburgh Alumni's Works Exhibition series activities in Dec.14. The activity ended perfectly on December 27. ZJUers in intl campus have completed a profound conversation with the great masters of The University of Edinburgh. The winners will be evaluated, and the ranking will be confirmed according to the number of votes and the rules of the activity (the reading lasting 3-5 minutes). The results of the activity and the list of winners are hereby publicized.

Wei Xue Fair: To Make Your Own Marbling was launched on December 1st at 1 p.m. in the Library. Nearly 30 teachers and students from the campus participated in this activity. Han Xiuli, Ying Chaonan and Li Junwen, teachers from ZJU library, were invited to give an introduction and demonstration on paper marbling. After introducing the required tools, teachers showed the complete process of marbling, from drawing all kinds of pigments in the water, to washing of semi-finished works.
