Notice on the Official Opening of the American Physiological Society (APS) Electronic Journal Database

The American Physiological Society (APS), founded in 1887, is a non-profit organization dedicating to improving education, research and promotion in the field of physiology. The society publishes 14 professional journals and society newsletters, as well as physiology series and manuals, 13 of which are indexed by SCI. The database of American Physiological Society (APS) contains its journals and books on physiology, which cover most aspects of the physiological system, from cells and molecules to organs and systems. 14 journals that ordered from the database: 1.American Journal of Physiology-Cell Physiology It dedicates to exploring innovative approaches to molecular and cellular physiology, focusing on the mechanisms of physiological control between high-level tissues by cellular and molecular methods. 2. American Journal of Physiology-Endocrinology and Metabolism It publishes original research on the physiology of endocrine and metabolic systems, focusing on research of human or animal at the molecular, subcellular and cellular levels. 3.American Journal of Physiology- Liver Physiology It mainly publishes research articles on the normal and abnormal functions of gastrointestinal tract, hepatobiliary system and pancreas, mainly covering their growth, development, digestion, secretion, absorption, metabolism, immunity and locomotion, as well as the neural, endocrine and circulatory control mechanisms that affects these organs. 4.American Journal of Physiology-Heart and Circulatory Physiology It mainly publishes research papers on the physiology of the heart, blood vessels and lymphatics, covering experimental and theoretical studies of various cardiovascular function from intact organisms to cells, subcells and molecules. 5.American Journal of Physiology-Lung Cellular and Molecular Physiology It mainly publishes research articles on normal and abnormal functions of cells and components in respiratory system from molecular, cellular to entirety. 6.American Journal of Physiology-Regulatory, Integrative and Comparative Physiology It mainly publishes theoretical and experimental studies on the regulation and integration of normal and abnormal physiological mechanisms of biological tissues at all levels from molecular to human. 7.American Journal of Physiology-Renal Physiology It mainly publishes research papers on kidney, urethra, related cells and vessels as well as body fluid volume and composition in human or complete organism, single cell and independent membrane system. 8. Journal of Applied Physiology It publishes original papers in the field of applied physiology, especially paying attention to the study of adaptive mechanisms and comprehensive mechanisms. 9. Journal of Neurophysiology It publishes research papers on the function of the nervous system including molecular neurobiology, cell culture, micrographic preparation, membrane physiology, developmental neurobiology, functional neuroanatomy, neurochemistry, neuropharmacology, electrophysiology, behavioral analysis, imaging techniques, etc. 10. Physiological Genomics It publishes research on physiology, from human and model systems to genes and pathways. 11. Physiological Reviews It publishes reviews of research in the field of physiology and biochemistry by world-renowned physiologists, neuroscientists, cell biologists, biophysicists, clinicians, etc. 12. Physiology It mainly publishes peer-reviewed reviews of current research by leading figures in the field of biology. 13. Advances in Physiology Education It mainly publishes peer-reviewed articles on laboratory teaching, physiological implications, evaluation of educational and research tools, and teaching methods. 14. Notice on the Official Opening of Some Journals of the University of Chicago Press

The University of Chicago Press (UCP), founded in 1891, is one of the leading university press in the United States. The journals of UCP cover social sciences, humanities, economics, education, biology, medicine, physics and other disciplines, which have made great contributions to the establishment and dissemination of the Chicago Economic School and the Chicago Social School. The Journal of Political Economy as the first academic publication of UCP, founded in 1892, is one of the five top international journals of economics. In addition to partnering with the University's own departments and schools, UCP publishes influential academic journals on behalf of academic and professional associations, foundations, museums, and other nonprofit organizations. All of these publications are peer-reviewed. Based on the needs of teachers and students, the library has ordered the following 8 UCP journals since 2022: 1. Journal of Political Economy Journal of Political Economy as one of the oldest and the most famous economics journals, provides a very important academic research in terms of economic theory and practice. It mainly publishes research papers about the theory and practice in the field of political economics, involving financial theory, fiscal policy, labor economics, microeconomic and macroeconomic theory, international trade, planning and development, etc. 2. The Journal of Law and Economics The Journal of Law and Economics publishes research on a wide range of topics, including the economic analysis of law, the economic analysis of regulation and the behavior of regulated firms, industrial organization and antitrust policy, the political economy of legislation and the legislative process, law and finance, and corporate finance and governance. 3. The China Journal The China Journal studies Chinese politics, economics, diplomacy, and culture, providing in-depth coverage on important topics such as anthropology, economics, foreign policy, modern history, sociology, and political science, as well as publishing high-quality reviews of recent books on modern China. 4. Current Anthropology Current Anthropology publishes research papers and reviews in anthropology and related fields, ranging from the origins of the human species to explanations of the complexities of modern life. 5. Critical Historical Studies Critical Historical Studies publishes monographic, theoretical, critical, and critical reflections on current cultural, political, and academic issues. Comparative Education Review Comparative Education Review is the flagship journal of the Institute of Comparative and International Education.
