Notice on the Official Opening of the Global Case Discovery System Database (Jointly Built with the School of Management)

Global Cases Discovery System (GCDS) is a large case literature database cluster. GCDS integrates the research results of many well-known case research institutions in the world, providing one-stop retrieval and delivery services for users engaged in case development and case teaching. GCDS consists of six databases, including China Business Management Case Database, Business Management Case Database, and Global Business Management Case Online for Business Administration Major, and China Public Management Case Database, Public Management Case Database, and Global Public Management Case Online, for the Business Management Major. China Business Administration Case Database contains the full text of high-quality cases developed by the China Business Administration Case Study Center of Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management and well-known domestic universities. Each teaching case is developed in strict accordance with the international case writing standards, and the writing process is integrated with more teaching design elements. It is necessary to conduct field research and maintain long-term follow-up of the target enterprises, and the average research and development cycle is about 6 months. China Public Management Case Database is a high-quality teaching case library with timeliness, localization, and typicality developed by the China Public Management Case Center of the School of Public Management at Tsinghua University over a decade of careful research and development. It is mainly used for teaching, training, and research in the field of public management, and can also serve as a think tank for government departments and institutions, serving the development of China's public management education. "WeiXue Salon – Make a Trip to the World Heritage in My Country" was successfully held

Recently, the library launched the cultural carnival serial event on the theme of “From Haining to the World". A total of 57 world heritage sites in China that have been included in the "World Heritage List" were exhibited, along with 14 world heritage sites in other parts of the world. A book exhibition with same theme was launched simultaneously, bringing a wonderful cultural landscape. On the evening of November 23, the library successfully held the "WeiXue Salon – Make a Trip to the World Heritage in My Country", inviting teachers and students on campus to introduce and share the world heritage sites in their hometowns, and to actively familiarize the world heritage and cultural background of other countries. The library also invited Mr. Ren Zhijun, a visiting scholar of ZIBS China Studies Program, and Ms. Wu Xiaolin, a staff from Hangzhou West Lake World Cultural Heritage Monitoring and Management Center, to give high-quality sharing.

Notice on the Trial Opening of the Inorganic Crystal Structure Database (ICSD)

ICSD was provided by FIZ Karlsruhe from Germany and includes detailed information on 272260 fully characterized inorganic crystal structures published since 1913, including structural data of pure elements, minerals, metals, and intermetallic compounds, structural parameters (Pearson symbols, ANX formulas, Wyckoff sequences), bibliographic data, synthesis conditions, etc. The data is sourced from 1676 scientific journals, with 245488 (90%) crystal structure data obtained through experiments. The library is updated twice a year, adding 10000 new crystal structure data each year.

World Heritage is a rare and currently irreplaceable treasure of mankind. It is of great importance for youths to take up the noble mission of protecting world heritage, and at the same time constantly stimulate their creativity, face the new challenges facing the cause of world heritage protection and find new ways to solve the problems.
