Exhibition of Ten Mile Red Dowry Ten Mile Red Dowry, is the spectacular scene which can be seen when large families in Ningshao area hold weddings in old days. It not only reflects the character of the rich, elegant, clear and delicate of Jiangnan culture, but also expresses people’s love of life and the pursuit of happiness in a direct way. On the day of their daughter's marriage, a wide variety of red furniture stretches for several miles, becoming a beautiful scenery in wedding customs. " Ten Mile Red Dowry in Ninghai " has been listed into the National intangible cultural heritage in 2008. The exhibition centers on a beautiful scenery in marriage customs – the combination of the charm of "red makeup" and the magnificence of "ten miles", creating a grand picture of surging like waves and fiery passion.
