[Notice] Publicity on the Proposed Ordering Printed Periodicals in 2019

Dear all: After preliminary investigation, combined with the actual use of journals, library intends to order the existing 18 foreign periodicals(see the following table). [RESOURCE RECOMMENDATION] TRIAL ON Gale Scholar Database

Gale Scholar is a supportive project launched by Gale publishing group mainly targeting at 10 top universities in China. It offers 170 million pages of rare primary source content covering 500 years of international history, including not only books, but thousands of declassified files, government documents, manuscripts, newspapers, photographs from the world’s great libraries, such as British Library, Library of Congress, US National Archives, The National Archives, as well as libraries of Harvard University, Yale University, Columbia University, Oxford University, Cambridge University, etc. The titles in Gale Scholar cover diverse subjects over a sweeping period of history from the 15th century to the present day, such as history, philosophy, society, education, international relationships, politics, economics, literature, law and art. [Resource Recommendation] Trial on the British IET E-Books and Engineering Technology Reference Database

Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), formerly known as the British institute of electrical engineers IEE, is a century-old academic Institution, the second largest professional society in the world. IDL (IET Digital Library) is a full-text database published by IET, covering a variety of contents, including IET (formerly IEE) journals, electronic books, conference proceedings and seminars. Notice on the available of Textbook Bookshelf

For the convenience of instructors and students to obtain textbooks, textbook bookshelf has been set up on the first floor of the library. The books are mainly for the undergraduate courses in the campus, including biomedical, engineering, language and other disciplines. Textbooks shelved are all published by world-famous academic presses, including Cengage, Pearson, McGraw-Hill Education etc., which are wildly used by global institutions of higher learning. We’ll continuously improve our service and update the books in time. 1. Location: West side of the Library entrance 2. Rules (1) textbooks can be used only for indoor reading, temporarily cannot be loaned out.
