Stellar Reflections: 2025 Library Cultural Carnival Series

Image

When the faint light of stars penetrates the folds of book pages, when the imagination of science fiction resonates with the contemplation of philosophy in the rifts of time and space—the 2025 Library Cultural Carnival, themed "Stellar Reflections," embarks on a multidimensional exploration that transcends fiction and reality. Here, every book is a wormhole to the universe, and every interaction is a probe into human cognition. Let us sail with science fiction as our vessel and philosophy as our sail, measuring the infinite possibilities of the future in the resonance of stars and texts.

Event 1 "Science Fiction Meets Philosophy: Cosmic Intelligence and Posthumanism" Exhibition

Date: December 8 - January 31

Location: Library Atrium

Description: Humanity's inquiry into the universe is endless. At the intersection of fantasy and reality, does truth echo back? The "Science Fiction and Philosophy" exhibition invites you to step into a thought experiment, exploring the cognitive boundaries of life, intelligence, and civilization through the literary universes of Lem, Baxter, and Liu Cixin. At the crossroads of imagination and contemplation, confront the ultimate question of "existence."

Event 2 "Science Fiction Meets Philosophy: Cosmic Intelligence and Posthumanism" Lecture

From the ethical dilemmas of the "Dark Forest" to the existential crises of "consciousness uploading," this intellectual collision will penetrate the essence of cosmic intelligence, deep time of civilization, and posthuman identity, revealing how science fiction becomes a philosophical prism reflecting the future.
