Chinese Science Citation Database (CSCD)

The Chinese Science Citation Database (CSCD) has a history of nearly 20 years in China and, as the first domestic citation database, it has played an important role in domestic scientific literature retrieval and bibliometric evaluation. Thomson Reuters, in cooperation with the Chinese Academy of Sciences, has embedded the Chinese Science Citation Database into the Web of Knowledge platform, allowing more researchers worldwide to understand China's scientific research development and dynamics. The database includes approximately 1,200 Chinese published core journals in science and engineering, with nearly 4 million paper records and 17 million citation records.

The Chinese Science Citation Database has been widely used as an authoritative literature retrieval tool in various aspects such as project novelty search, fund support, project evaluation, achievement declaration, talent selection, and literature metric and evaluation research in domestic research institutions and universities.
