Two years ago, Jin Yong, a famous writer of martial arts novels, passed away at the age of 94. Some say that there are no more martial arts after Jin Yong, while others say that his death has left a legacy of chivalry.
In the world of Jin Yong, there is not only the jianghu of sword and blood, but also the national sentiment of “chivalrous spirit”, which is for the country and its people. The righteousness towards the nation in the historical context of Jin Yong’s work, and the “chivalrous spirit” that displayed in the characters’ personalities, have influenced hundreds of millions of Chinese in the world.
This semester, the library will launch the second Living Library event, and invite Mr. Yuan Fei, a fanatical fan of Jin Yong, to walk into the world of Jin Yong’s works and explore the traditional culture and national feelings buried deeply in his works.
