Through images, scientific results can be presented and interpreted in a more visual way. However, in the age of visual culture, the demand for scientific images is not only limited to their accuracy of expression, but also to their artistic power. As one of the most authoritative journals in the world, the cover images of Science represent one of the most important or newsworthy research results of the current issue, and are also highly expressive and ornamental, bringing readers both intellectual and aesthetic impact.

This time, the library has selected some of the 2022 Science covers for the exhibition, showing the paradigm of combining science and art from photography, hand-drawn cartoons, graphic design, microscope images, etc., so that we can “tell” science stories from a different perspective.

The paper issues of Science selected for this exhibition will be displayed in the periodical reading area on the second floor of the library.

With rigorous science, gorgeous art, the pursuit of truth itself is a romantic and great journey.
