ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) was founded in 1880 and now is an international non-profit organization of educational and technical with more than 125,000 members worldwide. ASME is one of the largest technical publishing organizations in the world, holding about 30 major technical conferences and 200 professional development courses each year, developing a wide range of industrial and manufacturing industry standards. ASME now has 600 standards and codes for industrial and manufacturing industries, which are adopted in more than 90 countries around the world.
The ASME full-text database contains most publications of the society, including papers, reviews, technical reports, monographs and guides to the interpretation of industry standards from scholars and practitioners in the field of mechanical engineering worldwide.
The disciplines covered by ASME journals include mechanics, thermodynamics, mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, electrical engineering, biomedical engineering, automatic control systems, energy and fuels. There are 26 kinds of journals, 23 of which are included in JCR from 1960 to present.
ASME publications cover mechanical engineering and all related fields: risk and remediation, engineering management, pipeline engineering, friction handling, energy and power, heat transfer, design and manufacturing, pressure vessel and piping installation, emerging technologies (medical machinery, artificial intelligence). Books collected from 1993 to present, published after 2005 account for 85%.
