Founded in 1947, ACM (Association for Computing Machinery) is the world's oldest and largest computer education and scientific research institution. ACM currently provides services in more than 100 countries and has more than 90,000 members in business, academia, and government. ACM is committed to developing information technology education, scientific research and application, and publishing the most authoritative and forward-looking literature, such as professional journals, conference proceedings and news bulletins, and in 1999 began to provide an online database service -ACM Digital Library.

Over the past few years, the ACM Full-text Database has added the full-text content of all publications from the 1950s to the present, as well as related publications of the Special Interest Group, including bulletins and conference proceedings. At the same time, ACM also integrates the content of third-party publishers, and fully integrates The Guide to Computing Literature, a bibliographic digest database. It brings together publications from ACM and more than 5,000 other publishers and is designed to provide professional and non-professional people with a window into resources in the field of computing and information technology. Since 2014, ACM has partnered with Morgan & Claypool to launch ACM BOOKS, a series of eBooks. ACM Books Collection I and ACM Books Collection II each contain 25 e-books. The series focuses on graduate textbooks, industry research reviews, and career guidance for practitioners in the field of computer science. At present, ACM Books Collection I have been fully published. ACM Books Collection II is expected to publish 10-15 Books by the end of 2020.

[Database contents include]

48 journals, 8 magazines.

ACM Books Collection I 25 Books.

ACM Books Collection II is being published.

Nearly 300 conferences and 5,500 volumes of conference proceedings.

The database of online Computer Literature Guide contains more than 2.8 million abstracts.

37 SIG publications.

ACM Affiliate Publications.

ACM Oral History interviews.

Subject coverage: Computer Science and Technology

Journal quality: 36 publications are indexed by SCI

Database update: more than 20,000 new full papers are added every year, updated in real time

According to the 2012 JCR report, ACM journals mainly cover four disciplines: computer science and software engineering, computer science and information systems, computer science and hardware structure, and computer science and theoretical methods. Among 105 journals in the field of computer science and software engineering, 5 of them ranked top 20 in impact factors; communications of the ACM ranked first in total citations in the fields of computer science and software Engineering, computer science and hardware architecture; ACM Transactions on Graphics is ranked first in impact factor among 105 journals in the field of computer science and software engineering.

The library also ordered ACM e-books.

Please note:

Most of the content in the library can be viewed in full (PDF format), but some documents can only be viewed in abstracts.

The range of collection time of various documents is also not uniform. Some documents are collected from the beginning to the current latest content, and some only include the content of a certain year.

If the full text of the conference hosted by IEEE is not found in this library, go to IEEE Xplore to find the full text.
