World Reading Day Series Events in 2019 —— Library Discovery

Have you ever lost in rows of bookshelves, failing to locate the book you are looking for even though you have already known the subject the book belongs to? Come and join us for the Library Discovery game! Library and Information Center will launch the Library Discovery event on April 18th (Thursday). The purpose of this event, which is in the form of games, is to increase readers' familiarity with library collections and improve the proficiency of using the call number as well as enhance the readers' interest of reading. Every day, gifts will be awarded to 3 readers who take part in the game first, and we are looking forward to your participation! Time: April 18th to 22nd, 9:00 am – 9:00 pm Location: Library, 1st Floor (Please firstly get the activity cards from Library Information Desk) Participation: Readers will firstly get the activity cards from information desk on the first floor. They are supposed to find the corresponding letters/characters in books according to the cards in order to get the right words, and participators will receive gifts. After the event, the top 10 participators who use the least time will receive extra gifts. For specific rules, please refer to the WeChat public account of the iLINK Zhejiang University International Campus Library and Information Center or go to the information desk on the first floor of the library. April 23rd, the World Reading Day is coming in the vibrant spring. In response to the World Reading Day, our library will hold a series of events. We warmly welcome all of you to participate in. Events are as follows: Event 1. You Select, We Collect! English Book Fair English book fair will showcase the latest books published by world-renowned publishers, including Wiley, Elsevier, Cambridge, Oxford, etc.. More than 5,000 titles will be on display and they are all closely related to the disciplines at International Campus, including Biology, Medicine, Engineering, Literature etc.. Time: April 9th to 11th 9:00~19:00 (Tuesday to Thursday) Location: Library Atrium, 1st Floor Participation: Come along and recommend books, you can borrow new books right away (each reader can borrow 3 books in the fair, the loan period is 30 days); If you are not available on these days, you can also highlight the booklist and send back to library mailbox library@intl.zju.edu.cn Booklist can be found on library website: http://lib.intl.zju.edu.cn/en/notice/873379 Event 2. Library Discovery For increasing readers' familiarity with the Chinese Library Classification by letting readers search for a specific letter or character in the book according to the call number. Library Beautiful Voices Reading turns words into warm sounds and shows the inherent power of the words. library will carry out the most beautiful voice by organizing a voting event. Take it!"– Yunyue Reading event (Chinese book fair) Over 3,000 best selling Chinese books are waiting for you during the Yunyue Reading event. [Resource Recommendation] Notice on the opening trial Iresearch e-book platform

Iresearch's e-book platform aims to gather high-quality e-book resources from the world's leading publishing houses and provide one-stop academic research reference service. At present, the platform has reached cooperation agreements with more than 10 internationally renowned publishing institutions and signed about 120,000 kinds of resources. By February 2019, the Iresearch platform had launched 57,000 e-books covering humanities, social sciences, science and technology, medicine and other disciplines. In addition, the platform also launched a number of featured albums, such as core bibliographic features, classic collection features, to provide more options for book access or selection. Library and IT Services Opening Hours during Qing Ming Festival
