Campus Film Screening-WeiXue General Education Series (1st episode)

To enrich the spiritual and cultural needs of the students, center for academic affairs is going to hold WeiXue General Education Series with Library and Information Center. The first episode will be held on Dec. 12th. In this episode, we will show and appreciate the American national treasure "singing in the rain". You are warmly welcomed to attend! WeiXue Fair——English Book Fair and Resource Recommendation Lectures

Weixue Fair—Information literacy tour is in full swing. This week, Library and Information Center will continue to promote English book fair and resource introduction lectures. Event 1: English Book Fair— ‘You Select, We Collect!’ To better support learning, teaching, and continuing research in campus and expand library collections, Library and Information Center, together with China education books Imp. & Exp. Co. will hold an English book fair in library from December 6th to 10th. This fair will showcase the latest books published by world-renowned publishers, including Wiley, Elsevier, Cambridge, Oxford, and many others. Nearly 6,000 titles will be displayed, including Biology, Medicine, Engineering, Literature, and other disciplines. We Warmly welcome teachers and students to visit the book fair and recommend books to the library! Walking into the Microbial World and Exploring the Microbial Planet—the First Living Library of WeiXue Salon was Held Successfully

Library came out WeiXue Salon—living activity to meet readers’ cultural requirements. The first salon was held successfully in the library multifunction room in November 20th. The first living book was Dr. Huang yili, who comes from Environmental and Resource Science Institution in Zhejiang University.

WeiXue Fair-Information Literacy Tour

Digital resources are essential parts of the library resources, it plays a crucial role in teaching and researching. Our library comes out a new and fantastic event— ‘WeiXue Fair -- Information Literacy Tour’ which could help readers to have a better understanding of the digital resource, the ability of searching. This event also can increase the utilizing of the digital resources. WeiXue Fair, including introduction of digital resources, lecture of Emerald database, resources consulting and English book fair will be held in the following weeks. Zhejiang University library has 580 digital resources, 25,160,000 Chinese and Foreign e-books and 2,390,000 Chinese and foreign e-journals. The introduction of the digital resources will exhibit the databases of engineering, biomedicine, business studies, and humanities and social science. Scopus, Web of Science (which contains SCI, SSCI, AHCI) and The American Society of Civil Engineers will be introduced on the exhibition. Furthermore, Library and Information Center will hold an English Book Fair as well. All readers could select and recommend new arriving books.
