Notice on the Official Launch of WRDS Platform CRSP and Other Financial Databases

Starting from January 1, 2025, the Library has collaborated with the School of Economics to jointly subscribe to several important financial databases on the WRDS platform. Below are detailed introductions and access guidelines for the databases. I. CRSP Database Provided by the Center for Research in Security Prices (CRSP), the subscription includes the following two core databases: (1) CRSP 1925 US Stock Database Content: Covers stock prices and trading data of US-listed companies, including basic market indicators such as prices, trading volumes, and returns for common stocks on the NYSE, AMEX, and NASDAQ. Time Span: Data goes back to 1925 and is updated annually. (2) CRSP Survivor-Bias-Free US Mutual Funds Database Content: Contains comprehensive information on both active and inactive mutual funds, which is an essential foundation for mutual fund research and benchmarking. Time Span: Data goes back to 1960 and is updated quarterly. Database navigation link: https://libdb.zju.edu.cn/s/lib/libtb/show/2064 II. Mutual Fund Holdings Database Provided by Refinitiv (a subsidiary of the London Stock Exchange Group). Content: Covers security holdings information of all registered mutual funds that report to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, as well as 3,000 global funds. MFLINKS Database Provided by Wharton Research Data Services (WRDS). This database serves as a tool to link the CRSP Survivor-Bias-Free US Mutual Funds Database and the Mutual Fund Holdings Database, facilitating cross-database queries and analysis for users. Notice on the Re-ordering of Textbooks for ZIBS Students in 2024-2025 Spring-Summer Semester

Dear all, In order to meet the textbook requirements of ZIBS students for the spring and summer semester of the 2024-2025 academic year, the library is offering a special textbook re-ordering service. Please find the relevant details below: 1. Re-ordering time: Feb 13th, 2024 –Feb 16th, 2025. Overdue orders and payment will not be accepted. 2. Platform: INTL Campus Library- Learning& Research Support-Textbook Service (See the attachment for the guide) 3. Payment of Fees: Students can choose their own textbooks by voluntary based on the courses they will take in the next semester. Please pay the textbook fees according to the selected textbooks and upload the payment information. 4. The textbook information provided on the platform is for reference. If there is any change about the textbooks’ edition update or price, those you ordered in the previous stage will still be considered as ordered without further notice. 5. The order is made once you submit your application. Please make sure your application before submitting, because no exchange or refund can be given unless quality problems.

Notice re Library Opening Hours and Service during the Winter Vacation

Dear all,  According to Notice re the Arrangements during the 2025 Winter Vacation on the International Campus, library opening hours and service are arranged as follows:  1.Opening Hours During the winter vacation, the library will open from 8:30-17:00 every Monday to Friday except the Spring Festival Holiday from January 28th to February 4th, and it will reopen as usual from February 14th. 2.Opening Area 1st and 2nd floor will be open. iLounge, the corridor between the Library and Teaching and Learning Building B and the 3rd floor will be closed. If you want to borrow books with their classification from A to K, please go to the library Information Desk directly. 3.Services Book Circulation & Yunyue Reading: You can still borrow books during the summer vacation. If your due date is after January 12th, it will be extended until February 17th. If not, please return the book on time or renew it. Book Reservation: Book Reservation will be suspended from January 11th to February 13th. Device Rental Service: Device Rental Service will be suspended. The 2024 Library Cultural Carnival Series Successfully Concludes

In December 2024, the library successfully hosted the "Whispers of the Past - 2024 Library Cultural Carnival Series." This event, centered around ancient book culture, featured exhibitions, hands-on experiences, and technological integration, inviting faculty and students to embark on a timeless journey to appreciate the wisdom and romance carried by ancient books. The event kicked off with the exhibition "Birth of a Book" which focused on the production methods of ancient books, showcasing their beauty and the craftsmanship involved at various stages of their creation.

Special Photograghy Exhibition

Capture ZJU moments through images and tell ZJU stories through the lens. The first ZJU Faculty Mobile Photography Competition Exhibition is now on tour at International Campus. This exhibition aims to encourage faculty and staff to use their mobile phones to capture beautiful moments, record the beauty of our university through the lens, and tell the story through images.
