Notice on Circulation Regulation Upgrading
Upgraded circulation regulations have been taken into practice from the 1st of January in 2018. Specific adjustments of the rules are demonstrated as follows:
1. The maximum books that full-time official staff, undergraduates and postgraduates can borrow increase from 12 to 30.
2. The books you borrowed can be requested by other readers. Possibly, their loan period will be shortened. You will receive email or message from the library if the due date is changed. Top tips: please check your emails or messages as much as you can.
3. Standard loan books can be renewed unlimitedly unless the loan books are overdue or requested by other readers.

‘Shining in the Light’—The Past and Present of Xiashi Lantern
The lecture ‘Shining in the Light’—The Past and Present of Xiashi Lantern was held in library multi-function room on November 27th.
Combining real objects with PPT to show the lantern culture, Master Hu made it deeply and perceptual for audiences to understand Chinese traditional culture. Master hu also gave details of Xiashi lantern history and its' development according to time-base. Audiences could learn the beginning from local history and ancient poems, and know the development from lantern features in modern time such as the large-scaling, diversification, special skills, cultural connotation, classification and so on. All the lantern artists are making innovations in materials, technology, and types to keep pace with the times.
Intangible Cultural Heritage—Xiashi Lantern Exhibition Marks At International Campus
To better demonstrate the charm of traditional Chinese culture, and deepen the understanding of culture for both Chinese and international students, national intangible cultural heritage—Haining Xiashi Lanterns are being displayed at the library on International Campus. Besides the exhibition, a lecture, given by the heir to this intangible cultural heritage, will be held to show you how to make and design colored-lanterns, and introduce to you the history of this traditional art.

Notice of Photography Exhibition in Library
