Dear Readers,
In order to enhance the quality of teaching support services and facilitate access to textbooks & references, the library is pleased to introduce a short-term loan service for the textbook shelf. The specific details of the short-term loan service are hereby notified as follows:
I. Borrowing Service
The library has set up a textbook shelf on the first floor's west side, specifically for housing textbooks & references assigned to institute courses across various fields, including biomedical sciences, engineering, and languages. The textbook shelf provides indoor reading and short-term loan services. The short-term loan period is 1 day, with a limit of 1 item per person and no renewals are allowed.
II. Borrowing Rules
- To expedite the circulation of books, please return books on time. The borrowing privileges will be suspended for at least 30 days when an item is overdue; if readers do not return the books within 3 days after receiving the reminder, the short-term loan service will be suspended for 180 days.
- Compensation for damage, loss, etc. of books will follow the relevant rules and regulations of the library.
III. Book Borrowing and Return
- Readers can use valid identification documents, such as your campus card or Passport, to borrow books. Please note that borrowing books with someone else's documents is not permitted.
- Conduct all borrowing and returning at the Library Information Desk, 1st floor.
IV. Borrowing Privileges
- First-time borrowers from the textbook shelf need to activate their short-term loan privileges at the Library Information Desk, 1st floor using a valid ID. The activation is for readers who have already activated the library borrowing privileges.
- Readers are required to return all borrowed materials and deactivate borrowing privileges upon leaving the campus for any reason, including but not limited to graduation, suspension, withdrawal, transfer, or resignation.
We look forward to your visit and to experiencing our textbook borrowing service!
