Introduction to the resources
1. E-BOOKS
IET e-books is an e-book database published by IET (full name: Institution of Engineering and Technology, formerly named IEE), including more than 428 kinds of IET academic books in engineering and technology. Dating back to 1979, more than 90% of the books were published after 1990, and the amount of publications will increase at an annual rate of more than 50 volumes.
E-books cover 12 major series, including key areas of engineering and technology: circuit, devices and systems, control engineering, electrical technology, electromagnetic field and wave, and history of technology, manufacturing, technology management, electric power and energy, computing professional applications, radar, sonar, navigation and aviation electronics, renewable sources of energy and communications.
Titles, chapters, and the full text of IET digital books can be retrieved. One-time purchase means permanent free to use. RSS service and quotation download service are provided as well. All e-books have no encryption digital copyright protection (DRM Free), convenient for readers to use.

2. E&T REFERENCE (engineering technology Reference database)
IET new publication E&T Reference is launched in IDL, which is a set of world-class multi-disciplinary engineering technology Reference literature and suitable for universities and scientific research.
IET cooperate with world’s leading institutions to develop knowledge base. The greatest feature of E&T Reference is to provide guidance to researchers, students and practitioners in the field of engineering technology from the perspective of practice and solve various technical challenges faced by researchers in practice to improve their professional technical skills.
The authors of E&T Reference are all industry elites in the field of engineering technology. They summarize the experience and lessons in project research and practice from the perspective of practitioners and provide the original engineering technology research reports and case study reports to the readers.
All articles of E&T Reference are peer-reviewed and managed, covering five major technical fields of IET: design and manufacturing, energy, transportation, information and communication, and building environment
Each report of E& T Reference includes:
· Abstract - to quickly ascertain the paper's purpose
· Technical article - covering the technologies used in specific areas, how it works, the technical challenges and solutions adopted
· Relevant diagrams, photographs, figures and tables - making the content easy to understand.
· Case studies – reveal lessons learned from leading engineering companies via case studies embedded throughout the article. Some standalone case studies will also be available.
