The Global Cases Discovery System (GCDS) is a comprehensive cluster of case study literature databases. GCDS integrates research outputs from renowned case study institutions worldwide, providing users engaged in case development and teaching with one-stop retrieval and delivery services.

GCDS consists of six databases:

Business Administration:

  • China Business Administration Case Database
  • Business Administration Case Material Database
  • Global Business Administration Cases Online

Public Administration:

  • China Public Administration Case Database
  • Public Administration Case Material Database
  • Global Public Administration Cases Online

China Business Administration Case Database
This database contains high-quality case studies developed by the Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management’s China Business Administration Case Research Center and other leading Chinese universities. Each teaching case is meticulously developed in accordance with international case writing standards, incorporating extensive instructional design elements. The research process involves field investigations and long-term tracking of target enterprises, with an average development cycle of six months per case.

China Public Administration Case Database
Developed over more than a decade by the Tsinghua University School of Public Policy and Management’s China Public Administration Case Center, this database features timely, localized, and representative high-quality teaching cases. It serves as a key resource for teaching, training, and research in public administration, while also functioning as a think tank for government agencies, contributing to the advancement of public management education in China.
