To welcome the arrival of the 29th World Book Reading Day, the library organized a series of activities including diverse exhibitions, interactive experiences, and academic services under the theme of classics and academics. Through innovative reading methods and immersive cultural experiences, it encouraged faculties and students to engage in deep reading, find joy in classics, creating a vibrant reading atmosphere on campus.
To Witness the Classic Reappearance
The online foreign language book fair gathers hundreds of thousands of high-quality foreign language books covering various disciplines such as science, engineering, agriculture, medicine, humanities, and social sciences to meet the reading needs of readers.
The exhibition “The Chinese Loong – Ancient Chinese Painting Exhibition” selected 21 representative paintings of loongs from ancient Chinese paintings, conveying the wisdom of ancient Chinese people and the beautiful vision of the Year of the Loong through varied postures and vivid expressions.
Activities such as the “Legend of Martial Heroes: A Book Exhibition on Jin Yong”, and “READIO Jing Yong – READIO campus radio programme” conveyed the timeless charm of Mr. Jin Yong's works and essays to readers, commemorating the 100th anniversary of Mr. Jin Yong's birth.

Immersive Reading Experience
One feature of this year's activities is "immersive", allowing readers to experience the cultural charm and savor the essence of classics. Special interactive activities were organized such as the “Spring Fair Serial Activities” and “JIANGHU Dishes Offering – Dishes from Jin Yong’s Novel”. The vibrant and diverse interactive activities at the “Spring Fair Serial Activities” attracted numerous readers. In addition, the themed dishes have been incredibly popular, with the perfect fusion of classic martial arts and culinary culture.

Light of Wisdom, Academic Journey
Professor Ben Shenglin, Dean of the Zhejiang University International Business School (ZIBS), was invited to shared his reading habits, love for collecting books, and invaluable experience cultivated over years of dedication to both the workplace and academia. Dean Ben's insights and wisdom undoubtedly provided profound inspiration and reflection for students on campus.
In addition to this, the library organized the “Link Campus, @ Service” and hosted an academic lecture titled “Academic Lecture: Scientific Writing & Manuscript Submission from the Editor’s Perspective”. These activities enabled readers to conveniently access academic resources and enhance their academic writing skills.
