The “Farewell, ZJU” graduation series activities were held from June 1st to June 30th, mainly included seven activities such as photo wall, mood sharing board, message drifting bottles, book donation, etc. These activities were popular among the graduates, and the participation was out of expectation, reaching the highest in history.

On June 1st, a photo wall of a “three-dimensional book” which contains information such as call number, barcode number, collection seal, etc., were built for the graduates. The book fully integrating the library elements and bringing an immersive experience to the graduates.

The eye-catching “mood sharing board” at the entrance also attracted many graduates. They are all “excellent painters” who fully exerted their imagination and expressed their feeling with a few strokes. We can feel how they are unwilling to leave in the small drawing board.

In order to help graduates recall the bits and pieces of four years, the library customized personal library footprints for 251 graduates. In addition to the total number of library visits and borrowing books in four years, rankings among graduates are the first year to add for increasing the interaction between each other.

In addition, the library continued the drifting bottle activity last year, hoping that seniors would send blessings and expectations to the freshmen who “cannot meet”.

The library also recommended 10 books which may be helpful to graduates both in employment and daily life. These books were exhibited in the library atrium during graduation season, and 38% of them were borrowed.

Finally, let’s take a look at what the graduates said!

I want to say to the library:

Library is one of my favorite places in the campus. And library staff here is really friendly and really nice. So, I just wanna say that just keep up with the good work. So, thank you so much for being nice to international students and making them feel at home.

I want to say to my juniors:

I usually come to the library and will be inspired by Mr. Zhu Kezhen’s statue at the front door. So I also believe that my juniors can remember Mr Zhu’s two questions and often come to the library.

I want to say to Zhejiang University:

This year is Zhejiang University’s 126th anniversary. I am honored to be a member of Zhejiang University graduates in its vast history. I hope that Zhejiang University can get greater achievements and greater breakthroughs in both education and scientific research.

Activities for graduates ended successfully, but the library will never say goodbye to the graduates and always leave a light for them. May reading give graduates peace of mind in the future unpredictable journey of life.
