Smart Citations in Scite is a tool for discovering and evaluating scientific articles, covering more than 900 million citation statements extracted and analyzed from more than 30 million full-text articles, as well as more than 1 billion original citations. Compared to traditional citation indexes, Smart Citations not only displays the bibliographic information shown in traditional citations, but also provides citation statements, citation context, citation position in the cited text (e.g. information on introduction, methods, results, discussion, etc.), citation intent (support, dispute or mention) and editorial information (e.g. information on corrections, retractions, etc.).
